Kaamelot's Installations Procedures

Since the 1st release of Kaamelot plugin, the Installation procedure has always required :

  • some installations in JIRA folders, and not only the new JSPs, also XML settings
  • but also, some modifications of existing files (JSPs,XML and Properties files)


Today, 3 differents ways to perform the installation are available ...

Installation using Maven 2

It is reserved to Plugin Developer population and it is described on a dedicated Atlassian Wiki page : Kaamelot JIRA Build Kit

The main interest is in the ability to build a final WAR or EAR ready for a deployment on your preferred J2EE Application Server.

Manual Installation

Before the release 3.13.1.38, this second way to install Kaamelot plugin was the only one used by most (all ?) users of Kaamelot.

The procedure is not very difficult, but requires patience an rigour. Many changes have to be done.

Integrated Installation

Since the release 3.13.1.38, this last way to install Kaamelot plugin should be the only used procedure (I hope).

The procedure consist just in one Administration screen providing Installation actions.
